As a result of Partition, the Lalwani Family moved to Jamnagar in the State of Gujarat in 1951. The Lalwani's started a grocery store, grew it into Jamnagar's famed Lalwani Pan shop, and now Lalwani Optics is the industry standard for quality, transparency and confidence. Because of our dedication and hard work, Lalwani Optics has become an industry leader in exceptional quality and services. We receive great and overwhelming support from our loyal customers, which inspires us to expand our business and better serve our customers. We currently operate more than 8+ branches across Gujarat as a well-known company to create a world with extraordinary vision.
Here is how we got there…
1951 - 1971
After the partition, our grandpa Kundandas Lalwani and his family relocated to Jamnagar. With the aid of their brother Mr. Kevaram Lalwani, they opened a small grocery business in 1951 to provide for their basic needs. The people of Jamnagar respected them and were pleased with them since they worked hard, were trustworthy and upheld high standards.
1971 - 1994
The second generation of the Lalwani family, which consisted of Kundandasji's sons Mr. Fatahchand Lalwani and Mr. Ishwarlal Lalwani, carried on their father's heritage by starting a brand-new business under the Lalwani Pan name. He invited his younger brothers, Mr. Ramesh Lalwani and Mr. Ghanshyam Lalwani, for assistance in expanding the brand and establishing new branches. Lalwani earned a name as a Brand over time by focusing on quality and integrity.
1994 - 2003
With their expanding business and reputation, the Lalwani brothers considered the future of their third generation and decided to try something new in the service of the people, and in 1994, Mr.Ramesh Lalwani and Mr. Ghanshyam Lalwani founded Lalwani Optics.
Over the last 40 years, the Lalwani family has acquired a huge amount of respect in their community, and with the same traditional beliefs and high quality, they have pushed Lalwani Optics to new heights. New to a complex, need and visionary Optical Business, Lalwani has not only gained experience but has set new benchmarks in Quality, Transparency & Trust.
2003 - 2018
Gradually, the third generation of the Lalwani family joined in on the business, continuing a family tradition. Mr. Lunesh Lalwani has joined the Lalwani Optics company in the year 2003. With shear sharpness in business understanding he brought many modern changes in technologies, customer experience to the group. His idea of making a world standard store in city of Jamnagar has started. In 2010, Lalwani Optics added a second facility to further its growth. Spreading wings with strong support from family, Lalwani Optics has operating branches at eye hospitals and 8 other places in the city.
2018 - Till Date
Lalwani Optics had a comprehensive makeover, which included a 2200 square-foot reconstruction and refurbishment that gave the entire store a fresh approach to capturing the city's heart. The most extensive selection for choosing frames of your choice is made possible by combining cutting-edge technologies, more modern dispensing technologies and a premium brand of eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses in a new era of global matching dispensing standards. Furthermore, new optically advanced equipment has been introduced, such as the Eye Partner - The electronic measurement machine to distribute modern technology lenses, the Auto Phoropter machine for comprehensive digital eye refraction.
